Romantic Es Vedra

I do like Ibiza, one of the Balearic Islands. Away from the clubs and crowded places it has a certain mysticism of which the Hippies became aware in the 1960’s, many settling there and on neighbouring Formentara.
Es Vedra was the backdrop to several scenes in the movie South Pacific, a massive rock soaring out of the Mediterranean, changing colour at sundown. Painted in watercolour.

On a Step in Frigiliana

Frigiliana is a lovely hillside village in the hills above Nerja, on the coast of Southern Spain. Painted in watercolour, this scene from one of my many photographs, typifies some little corner of the village’s steep winding streets. The child is a product of my imagination !
