The Cathedral at Siena

The amazing Cathedral dedicated to Santa Maria Assunta, at Siena with its 14th Century Facade. There follow the Venetian Central mosaic artwork made in 1878 depicting the Coronation of the Virgin, designed by Luigi Mussini. The third photograph shows the incredible carving and sculptures along the whole extent of the facade and in particular Romulus and Remus being suckled by the wolf.
