Lindisfarne Fishermen

20131101-214925.jpg
I’ve painted many scenes from this magical island. This watercolour shows one of the old upturned boats made into a fisherman’s hut. Stacked outside are lobster pots (traps). Lobster from the North East Coast is an international delicacy, they are in plentiful supply and local people know the rocks under which they hide at low tide, catching them by hand.
