I do like Ibiza, one of the Balearic Islands. Away from the clubs and crowded places it has a certain mysticism of which the Hippies became aware in the 1960’s, many settling there and on neighbouring Formentara.
Es Vedra was the backdrop to several scenes in the movie South Pacific, a massive rock soaring out of the Mediterranean, changing colour at sundown. Painted in watercolour.
In watercolour this mystical place at sundown, Es Vedra, was a favourite of hippies on Ibiza in 1960’s and a back drop to several scenes in the film of that time, South Pacific.
Ibiza is synonymous these days with music and the club scene, however as a frequent visitor, I know it has it’s many quiet and beautiful places.
