The Bridge House, Ambleside – my watercolour painting (just finished)

Chapel Stile – my watercolour

Chapel Stile is a village in the Lake District, Cumbria about 5 miles from Ambleside. I spent much of my youth walking and climbing the Lakeland hills.

The Watermill at Ambleside (watercolour)

This Watermill at Ambleside on Lake Windermere in Cumbria, is driven by the water of the Stock Ghyll. Originally a nineteenth century bobbin mill it now houses a cafe serving this part of the English Lake District’s tourist industry. Painted in watercolour.

Ambleside, Water Mill

A watercolour of The Water Mill at Ambleside, Cumbria. Ambleside is at one end of Lake Windermere in the English Lake District. The Water Mill wheel, is driven by a top flow of water from the abundant fast flowing Stock Beck, which flows into Windermere. The building now houses a cafe.
