My acrylic painting of the Market Town of Hexham in Northumberland, viewed from the North approach over the River Tyne.
There can be seen to the left of the picture the 14th Century Gaol. Towards the centre, the 15th Century fortified Moot Hall Manor Office and Court House. To the right, Hexham Abbey, largely built in the 13th Century but having its origins some 600 years earlier in Anglo Saxon times.
